Corporate Social Responsibility

Making a difference in our community

We want to make a difference to the social and economic well-being of the local communities we operate in and the IT industry in general through our daily business activities, public events and charitable activities.

Ethics & Integrity

We believe in openness and in the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in every engagement, conducting our business fairly and in the most considerate way possible. This is embedded in our corporate values that underpin our culture of - One team, one Livingstone.

We Commit -  We are committed to each other & to delivering value to our clients.  We hold ourselves accountable, taking ownership & pride in our work.

We Collaborate - Working as One Team, we are greater than the sum of our parts.

We Inspire - Our business IS our people.  We support, energise & inspire each other to be the best.

We Innovate - We embrace change & thrive on it; we never settle for second best, we lead from the front.  We are not afraid to be different.

Charitable Work

Each year our employees choose the charities that we support through donations and the fantastic fund raising activities that our employees take part in and run throughout the year. From marathons and cake sales to cycling endurance and sky dives, we are dedicated to supporting charities close to our hearts and those most in need in our local communities.

Supporting Our Local Communities

We have just introduced a new volunteering program that spans our global organization. Each member of our team will be able to spend a day a year supporting a charity or local community project of their choice. Whether that’s fundraising for a charity close to their hearts, contributing to a local community or environmental project, we are giving our team the opportunity to make a real difference in the areas where we operate and in the communities we live in. We are committed to giving something back. In future newsletters we will highlight the fantastic work our employees have done in their communities.

JOIN OUR TEAM

Developing Our Employees

The continuing professional development of our employees is a core business strategy. This is absolutely critical when providing exceptional levels of client and partner service and best practice. Livingstone Group’s team regularly attend professional, vocational and technical training courses provided by a range of bodies, partner organizations and leading industry vendors.

Career Opportunities

Investing In Young People

Since we were established we have developed young talent from the local areas where we operate through our Apprenticeship and Graduate Programs, building their skills, knowledge, experience and qualifications to the highest levels. Taking on apprentices and graduates each year has represented a significant investment and commitment in terms of time, budget and administration, but we feel this is an important initiative in our strategy to invest in young people for careers in IT and Technology.

Modern Slavery & Trafficking

We aim to employ the highest ethical and professional standards and always to comply with all local laws and regulations applicable to our business; it follows that Livingstone Group is absolutely committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking in its corporate activities and its supply chains. This commitment to an ethical approach is emphasized in our employee training programs and company policies. Livingstone Group also expects the same high standards which we set for ourselves from those parties with whom we engage.

Promoting Security Awareness

Nearly half of all businesses (46%) reported a cyber breach or attack in the past 12 months (Cyber Security Breaches Survey, Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport) and this is increasing. So the need to tackle cyber crime has never been greater, it undermines confidence in our communications technology and in our ability to do business and it costs businesses billions every year. For the latest advice on best practice to protect your business, we recommend visiting the Cyber Aware website for more information.

ISO27001 certification

ISO27001 is the international standard that lays out the specifications for implementing an information security management system (ISMS). The certification is a demonstration of Livingstone’s investment in the technology, people and processes that protect the organization’s data. The independent assessment highlights the sufficiency of the measures that are in place to provide data protection to our customers.

Certified FSQS

Livingstone Technologies is certified FSQS (Financial Services Qualification System), this enables us to act as an accredited supplier to the financial services sector.  We have completed the Hellios FSQS, a community of financial institutions; banks, building societies, insurance companies and investment services, which have collaborated to agree a single standard for collecting third party information needed to demonstrate compliance to regulators, internal policies and governance controls.

The FSQS registered mark is valued by some of the largest purchasers in the financial sector and indicates that Livingstone Technologies has gone through the process required to demonstrate its commitment and credentials to the industry.  Having been accredited by FSQS, we are able to work with any of the organizations that are FSQS members, without having to complete further tender questionnaires, portal questions or other due diligence procedures.
